In the devastating 7.0 earthquake that shook Haiti in 2010, hundreds of thousands of innocent children became orphans in less than 60 seconds. There are an estimated 400,000 children orphaned in Haiti.

On a relief trip after the quake, we found a group of over 25 children living with a pastor’s family in (quite literally) a swamp. Malnourished and grief-stricken, the children were in dire need of help. 

After spending two summers with them and being invited into their world, we want to help provide these beautiful children with a better life. 

We created Swamp Kids as a direct link between generous hearts and needy hands. Every cent of the monthly sponsorships allows each child to receive an education, food, clean water, clothing, living necessities and doctor visits. For just $25 a month, the lives of these hopeful, vibrant children will continue to flourish. Our long-term goal is to get these children back into loving homes. We want to show these children and their families the love of Christ, while equipping and empowering them to keep their families healthy, both physically & spiritually.

It’s just $25 a month to get these kids fed, educated, and cared for. We also sell a Swamp Kids shirt and tank top that you could buy and your money would go directly to taking care of these kids. Whether you just want to donate for 1 month or want to donate for 1 year, anything helps. 

If you don’t have the money, but still want to do something to help these kids—Pray. Prayer is so powerful, even more powerful than money.
